History of PSND

The Beginning

The organization was established as the Philippine Government Dietitian and Nutritionist (PGDN) with Mrs. Adelisa Cifra-Ramos as its first president.

1972

First Transition

Name changed from PGDN to Philippine Society of Dietitian and Nutritionist (PSDN), expanding membership beyond government workers.

1980s

Inclusive Membership

PSDN became Philippine Society of Nutritionist and Dietitians (PSND), Inc. to include private sector professionals.

1990s

COVID-19 Response

Launched "Webinar on Weekend" for virtual continuing education and member engagement during the pandemic.

2020

Reestablishment

Reestablished as Philippine Stakeholders for Nutrition and Dietetics, Inc. with improved governance and new partnerships.
