The Seminar on Soy Protein Utilization and Health, in partnership with U.S. Soybean Export Council, was held at the Hilton Hotel in Manila, Philippines, with 77 attendees from various sectors such as academe, food industry, government agencies, and research and development, and private organizations last July 13, 2023. The event focused on exploring the potential of soy as a sustainable protein source and its impact on health and wellness.
The morning session was moderated by Ms. Jeline Marie Corpuz and joined with local and international experts including Dr. Benito A. Oliveros, Mr. Jacob Golbitz, Mr. Liew Wei Cheng, Dr. Suresh Itapu. Meanwhile, the afternoon session was moderated by Ms. Mabelle P. Aban and joined with esteemed speakers including Mr. Christian Carrillo, Ms. Luz Felicidad S. Callanta, and Ms. Cielo Reyes. Chef and Coach Fia Mambuay-Batua showcased how to effortlessly incorporate and utilize soy products in day-to-day meals such as soy smoothie and soy stir fry with vegetables. It highlighted soy-based dishes as easy, affordable, and delectable additions to any meal preparation.
