We would like to express our gratitude to over 100 participants for your warm and overwhelming support on the success of this webinar.
Ms. Jellie Anne C. Palencia, from Department of Health – Center for Health, discussed that a well-balanced and nutrient-rich diet can positively impact hormonal balance, egg quality, and overall reproductive function. Key nutrients play vital roles in supporting fertility.
Dr. Kathryn Natalie U. Tan, from National Center for Mental Health, seconded the importance of nutrition in mental health during pregnancy. From her discussion, we learned that prioritizing mental health and fostering a positive relationship with food, pregnant mothers can cultivate a nurturing environment that supports their overall well-being and the healthy development for their baby.
Lastly, Mr. Hercules P. Hector, from University of the Philippines Diliman, discussed that engaging in regular exercise during pregnancy has numerous benefits for both the expectant mother and the developing baby. The Physical Activity Readiness Medical Examination (PARMed) X guidelines provide important considerations to ensure the safety and appropriateness of exercise routines.
The webinar was guided by PSND Public Relations Officer, Ms. Camille Chen, who not only moderated the discussions but also maintained the energy all throughout the session.
